About Wilmington
Wilmington North Carolina is located along the Cape Fear River on NC's
southeastern coast. The town was incorporated in 1739 and named in honor
of Spencer Compton, Earl of Wilmington, who was a patron of North
Carolina's Governor at the time. Today it is an active port city with
roughly 99,000 residents and home to the University of North Carolina
at Wilmington. There are many attractions in the area that are suited for
